Lee Kuan Yew was My Dad’s Colleague

The above family Photo taken in Church when I was young. My
family attends this church called Geylang Gospel Hall in Lor 29 Sims Avenue in
Geylang. It is a branch of the Bethesda Group. It is now the church near
Kembangan MRT, named Bethesda Chapel.
Lee Kuan Yew was interned there too. He did not brag at all. But there was an
instance when I asked him if Mr Lee Kuan Yew knew him. He humbly replied, of
course. "We worked in the same office."
He said the letter of Lee Kuan Yew being called to the Bar
was typed by him and also signed by him as the clerk in charge. Lee Kuan Yew
learned Politics from John Laycock who started the first political party in
Singapore called the Progressive Party.
John Laycock is a very close friend of my grandfather.
My father practises the same philosophy as Mr George Yeo.
He doesn't divulge secrets he amassed whilst in the midst of work or learnt
about while at the office. So I only get scant information. He only tells me
things he feels comfortable about telling.
My elder sister is an American. She is now an online
English teacher and Missionary in Belize. She holds a Master degree in
Education. She married an American Chinese Missionary. My younger sister holds
a Master degree in Nursing and is a citizen of New Zealand but currently doing online
Medical Training in Brisbane, Australia.
