Didn"t know there were so many kampongs in Singapore. Only familiar with kampong Ubi and Kampong Geylang. Before HDBs were built, if you are rich you live in a landed property. the poorer ones rented or owned houses in kampongs. Kampong life is enriching because you get to come into contact with nature and childhood is more memorable because you are more free ranging.... meaning able to explore more.
